Debbie Garcia, CMP, began her career in video editing and audio engineering in New York City, working with MTV, Grey Worldwide Advertising, and Westwood One Radio Networks. In 2007, she discovered her passion for event planning, initially as a secondary job in wedding planning.
Over the years, Debbie held various roles in event management, from Event Sales Manager to Conference Service Manager. She also ventured into tech startups, working with Goodybag and eva. Her accomplishments include accolades like Smart Women in Meetings Innovators of the Year, Smart Meetings Event Professional of the Year, and the MPI Tennessee Presidents Award.
In response to the pandemic, Debbie founded virsitour, an online platform connecting event planners with destinations and offering virtual event planning services. This platform revolutionized sourcing by allowing planners to explore properties virtually before submitting RFPs.
