Greater Nashville Technology Council

The Greater Nashville Technology Council is a membership trade association that serves as the leading voice and advocate for Middle Tennessee’s $8 billion information technology ecosystem; and the 60,000 technology professionals who design, implement, manage, and safeguard the technology that powers our region’s economy. Our mission is to strengthen and advance the technology sector by bringing together companies, philanthropies, government, universities, and talent to create opportunity and growth.

Role

The Greater Nashville Technology Council (NTC) is seeking a full-time Director of Corporate Outreach eager to engage in Nashville’s thriving technology community. The successful candidate will be comfortable researching, calling, and connecting with representatives of existing and prospective NTC member organizations to discuss engagement opportunities with the NTC, including Apprenti TN.  This is a goal- driven role, working in conjunction with the CEO and entire NTC team to deliver results.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit corporate partners for:
    • Informational interviews
    • Job fairs and career fairs
    • Mock interviews
    • High school, college and university internships
    • Hosting students for field trips
    • Job shadow days
    • Teacher externship experiences
  • Be the “Face” of the NTC in specific areas and events
  • Document and share feedback gleaned from current and prospective members
  • Provide creative ideas for maintaining and increasing high participation among members

Desired Qualifications: business experience, capability of communicating at an executive level, relationships in the IT sector, experience in outbound sales, account management, or recruiting

Preferred Qualifications: understanding of apprenticeship standards and regulations, knowledge of IT roles

  • Ability to learn and comprehend new technologies and procedures
  • Strong comfort level in planning and leading meetings/presentations for all audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Customer Relationship Management software (CRM)
  • Sound judgement in the prospect qualification process
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills
  • Passion for workforce development
