Role

The Greater Nashville Technology Council (NTC) is seeking a full-time Bookkeeping Associate who will work with our management team to perform general bookkeeping and grant reporting duties.  This person will interact with our accounting firm, auditor, and HR/payroll provider in the performance of their duties.  Previous bookkeeping experience is required. 

 

Responsibilities

  • General Bookkeeping
    • Work with our CPA to maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner for multiple legal entities
    • Work with our payroll provider to assure accurate and timely processing 
    • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
    • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
    • Perform account receivable functions including invoicing and deposits
    • Review the monthly financial reports prepared by our CPA and prep them for the finance committee
    • Produce weekly internal financial reports
    • Assist with basic HR duties like new hire documents
    • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Grant Reporting
    • Supporting the TDOE to fulfill all Federal grant reporting requirements including, but not limited to:
      • Supporting project plan documentation
      • Crafting monthly update reports for US Dept. of Education
      • Collaborating with TDOE administrators to produce a comprehensive report on the progress of the grant in relation to stated grant objectives and outcomes
      • Supporting all financial reporting per the grant guidelines

  • The ability to multi-task across multiple assignments
  • Track record of owning your goals and consistently surpassing them
  • Self-motivation and able to work successfully in a fast-paced, nimble, and changing work environment

 

Experience with the following is a plus

  • Federal and/or state grant reporting
  • MemberZone, Bill.com, Expensify, Authorize.net
