Description
Join CompTIA for a webinar at 2pm CT / 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 11 for an in-depth look at how the Wayfair case might change the online marketplace.
With the explosive growth in the e-commerce marketplace there has never been a greater need for reasoned and competitive tax policies that promote research and development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It is estimated that nearly two-thirds of Americans shop online, generating e-commerce sales of more than $100 billion in Q4 2017. And there are no signs that this economic engine is slowing down; it is expected that nearly 20 percent of all retail sales will be conducted online by 2022.
The Supreme Court recently handed down its decision in the South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. case. Its decision to overturn the physical presence standard creates an uncertain marketplace for buyers and sellers across the country. This webinar will feature experts who will discuss what the Wayfair case means for the future of the online marketplace and how state and federal policymakers are addressing the broader nexus discussion.
