6th-12th grade- Vex is the competition robotics platform in Middle Tennessee. If you have a student who would like to participate in First, Best or Vex this camp can give them an edge. This camp will teach students about the Vex Robotics system. Students will learn to use a computer aided drafting program, learn robot design, assemble their robot and program the bot in easy C or Robot C. This camp is based on the Vex Robotics curriculum.
Age Range: 6th-12th grade
Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Some coding experience such as an after school coding club, or a scratch camp is recommended. Without prior experience your student will need to be able to keep up with multiple new details, learn a completely new way of thinking, and conquer a broad vocabulary base. Any student who selects this camp will need the ability to sit patiently with problems and persist until they are solved.
