Description
The NTC is excited to host its first gubernatorial candidate forum on March 9, 2018. The program presents a unique opportunity for NTC members to directly connect with the candidates, one of which will be the next Governor of Tennessee.
As the association that represents Middle Tennessee innovators, our forum will be different from others. At the outset, candidates will have the opportunity to make a brief introduction to all attendees. After intros, attendees will assemble in small groups and disburse into assigned rooms across Tech Hill Commons. The candidates will be greeted by each group (no more than 10) of tech leaders across a spectrum of Middle Tennessee's industries. Candidates will rotate to a new room after a short time to speak with the next group.
NTC's forum presents the opportunity for NTC members to have direct conversations with the candidates on the issues that matter to them. It enables candidates to discuss and learn about a variety of topics and provides the opportunity to connect with the industry leaders, without having to compete with other candidates to get their message across.
We are excited to welcome the Tennessee gubernatorial candidates:
Commissioner Randy Boyd (R) - Former Commissioner of Economic and Community Development for the State of Tennessee
Mayor Karl Dean (D) - Former Nashville Mayor
Representative Craig Fitzhugh (D) - Tennessee State House Minority Leader
(note: all candidates invited)
and NTC tech industry leaders to take advantage of this forum to discuss the issues that will further the development of the tech industry in Middle Tennessee and ensure that our region is a great place to live.
