Over time there is an increasing gap in software delivery between new functionality, the resources and time that it takes to test them. As a developer, gaining a deeper understanding of test automation can directly increase your ability to ship faster and more reliably.
In this talk, we will discuss some practical methods for scale your testing efforts, while providing value for your quality teams. As a QA, there are plenty of benefits to test automation, such as improving your consistency in testing, accelerating your release/sprint cycles by reducing time for regression, and reducing the monotonous tasks that QAs often get tasked with. Attendees will learn about the benefits and challenges of both code-based automation and declarative automation. In addition, we will cover the long-term gap between the automated regression and your software development that grows over time, which consequently can cause a loss in confidence in your automation efforts as a QA leader.
We will discuss how declarative test automation can help you win back trust from your development team from switching from traditional automation to declarative test automation, while gaining new strategies to incorporate automated regression testing to scale for your development teams. If you are looking to become the QA champion for your software development teams and scale faster with maintainable automation, then you won’t want to miss this interactive session with the Nashville Tech Council. Regardless of your role in the software delivery life cycle, this will be a conversation filled with pragmatic solutions to bring back to your organization.
