Description
Cybersecurity issues have been one of the most significant challenges facing companies in all sectors over the last several years. The frequency of cyberattacks is increasing exponentially, new threat actor groups are emerging, and the types of attacks continue to evolve at a rapid pace. In the last year alone, we saw attacks against a leading password management tool, a widely-used file transfer platform, a VPN used by thousands of companies, major health care and financial institutions, and some of the world’s largest casinos. These attacks have become more sophisticated, more costly, and more harmful than ever due to the increased threat of cybercriminals stealing your organization's (and your customer's) sensitive information. These recent attacks have shown that no industry is immune and the potential financial, operational, and reputational damage can be catastrophic.
Join Baker Donelson Shareholders Alisa L. Chestler and Matthew G. White for a discussion that will focus on why and how to partner with a Breach Coach in advance, best practices to help organizations mitigate the risk of a cyberattack, and the dos and don’ts for responding to an attack. They will help participants understand what it is like to handle an incident, including the technical and non-technical considerations. Among the topics discussed will be several questions all companies need to be able to answer, including:
• Are you prepared appropriately in advance of an incident?
• Should an incident occur, who do you call first?
• What immediate actions are needed to mitigate risk?
This discussion will provide key considerations for responding to cyber incidents and will also help identify areas of need you may have in order to prepare for a cyber incident.
