presented by:
Jerome Hardaway, Founder | Executive Director, Vets Who Code
Jerome Hardaway is a Google Developer Expert (Web), UI/UX engineer, speaker and Geek At Arms (Founder and Executive Director) of Vets Who Code, a 501(c)3 veteran-led charitable non-profit dedicated to filling the nation’s technical skills gap with early-stage transitioning veterans and active-duty military spouses through remote software development training and education. His expertise is on Semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6), UX, Front End Architecture as well as the ecosystems of React, Firebase, Gatsby and GraphQL.As the founder and executive director of Vets Who Code, Jerome actively engages with new “recruits” of the program, leading them to become successful engineers when they graduate. He is also focused on building relationships, donation outreach, sharing the stories of the Vets Who Code veterans, giving public talks, and learning and passing higher-level training on to the Core team as they support and grow each new group of entry-level, junior developers of the program.
