Bringing Simplicity and Predictability to Datacenter Operations
Learn how Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, is leveraging innovative data center technologies to support growth from over 1,500 stores to 2,500 stores. This includes use of public and private cloud technologies to accelerate delivery of business capabilities, improve IT service reliability and performance, and reduce costs. Included in this discussion will also be a roadmap with innovative capabilities to increase IT agility, such as containerization of applications using Docker and driving greater automation using RESTful API methods.
About the Speaker:
Glenn Allison currently serves as Vice President of Enterprise Architecture and IT Solution Delivery for Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer with over 1,500 retail stores in 49 states, more than 23,000 team members and annual revenues of approximately $6.2 billion. He previously served in several executive leadership roles at Kellogg Company and W.W. Grainger, with responsibilities including technology innovation, enterprise architecture, infrastructure engineering, and IT operations. He earned his master’s degree in management at University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his master’s degree in technology from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. Most recently he was named to the Nashville Business Journal “40 Under 40” list, and is an active leader in the high-growth Nashville tech community.
