DDoS Attacks Will Happen: Keys to Successful Detection and Mitigation
DDoS attacks have increased nearly 180% year-over-year with reflection-based DDoS attacks increasing dramatically as attackers continue to exploit exposed network devices and unsecured service protocols. In the past year, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks were estimated to represent a significant portion of the $15.4 million per year cybercrime cost to average American firms. Every business needs to understand the threat, that you are a potential target, and you need to bake that into your business resiliency planning. In this presentation you will learn that no two DDoS attacks are alike and that cyber-criminals are targeting organizations with increasingly sophisticated methods. Most importantly, you will learn the steps you can take to more rapidly detect and mitigate these attacks and help secure your organization.
