How to Activate You and Your Team's PREY Drive
In this dynamic session Coach Burt will deliver strategies on the following:
1. Prey Drive- Instinctual ability to see something with the mind or optically and have the instinct and initiative to go and get it.
This opens the door to change because it opens or re-opens the mind to curiosity. It activates interest in improvement, getting out of a static state, or movement toward a bigger future. Until this is activated a person lives in a static state and is “fixed” in their thinking.
I would attack this first and activate this hunger in the sales team and managers to “want to” change and improve on their current condition and be open to the new tools you are enlightening them to.
2. Change- I have a formula that I follow when it comes to change.
Change is function of (pain, potential, practicality). These factors must be GREATER than the COST of change or a person will remain static. The cost is what is a person willing to “give up” to “get.” This is why the PREY DRIVE is so critical. We have to inspire a person to shift gears, take initiative, and be OPEN to new tools. There must be potential, pain, and it must be practical or they see the “cost of change” as too much.
3. Coaching- I’ve spent the last 27 years of my life coaching people to higher levels of performance.
At the heart of my philosophy is the WHOLE PERSON THEORY, meaning each person has four parts:
Body = Skills
Mind = Knowledge
Heart = Desire/Passion
Spirit = Confidence
