Genesco tapped Steve in 2013 to be the first CISO for the 90-year-old retailer. He is a savvy business and technology leader with over twenty years of hands-on experience in assisting numerous executive teams in achieving their IT strategic goals.
He has a proven ability to deliver innovation by harmonizing visionary ideas with a pragmatic approach. He is responsible for leading all efforts to align strategic business initiatives with current legal/regulatory requirements and international security best practice models to maximize the confidentiality, integrity, availability and privacy of all Genesco data, systems, employees and IT assets.
Prior to joining Genesco Inc, Steve was the Chief Information Security Officer for another Fortune 1000 company, Gaylord Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee. He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
