Join us for the NTC Data & Analytics Exec Peer Group! This session's title: Ace Your AI, Cloud, & Data Contracts in a Dynamic Legal Landscape, presented by Franklin Graves who serves as Senior Technology Council and HCA Healthcare. The goal of this session is to highlight actionable strategies for delegating AI/data work while safeguarding legal interests.
During this meeting's closed door discussion, we'll be focusing on:
- Contract Protections: Key clauses for data protection, privacy, security, and IP & ownership in AI, cloud, and data-driven projects.
- Data Governance and Provenance: Best practices for handling first-party data, third-party access, and responsible AI considerations for third-party data/model sources.
- Cloud Agreements: data protection and AI terms with major cloud partners (MSFT, Google, and Amazon)
- Outsourcing Data Initiatives: partnership key elements of data use, leverage, and monetization.
The session will include a presentation and guided discussion:
- Presentation (20 min.) - Brief industry landscape: Trends and legal shifts regarding AI, cloud, and data; Core contract considerations; and Looking ahead to GenAI-as-a-Service type offerings.
- Guided Discussion (20 min.) - Initial prompts for discussion:
- Does your organization have a clear internal policy on responsible AI, data ownership, and/or monetization? If so, how well do they translate into the practical aspects of your operations?
- What's the most frustrating or unexpected legal, privacy, or contractual hurdle you've faced in a recent AI or cloud-based project? Did you find a successful workaround?
- Looking back at a past project, what's one aspect of data governance (storage, transfers, usage) that you wish you'd addressed more thoroughly in the initial planning or contracting stage?
