Description
Join us for the Q1 2024 meeting of the NTC Cyber Security Exec Peer Group with guest speaker Paul Connelly on the topic of development for CISOs, "From CISO to the Board - Moving to the Other Side of the Table." Many cybersecurity professionals have viewed becoming a CISO as the peak of a career in the field, but a new next step is evolving: serving on corporate boards. Most CISOs are accustomed to regularly meeting with their company board, but until recently there were few opportunities to be on the other side of the table. Times are changing.
About Paul Connelly:
Paul Connelly built the first cybersecurity programs at two of the world’s highest risk organizations – the White House and HCA Healthcare, and led those programs for a combined 28 years in CISO roles. He also spent six years building a cybersecurity consulting practice as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Throughout, Paul has been a developer of people, with thirty-six team members selected for CISO positions.
Paul retired from HCA in 2023 and is currently an independent director on the board of Dismas, a Technical Advisor to the boards of the U.S. Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network and UNOS, on the Faculty of IANS, developing cybersecurity programs at Belmont University, and a Senior Advisor to Brighton Park Capital.
