Description
Join InfoSystems in-person at First Horizon Park’s Field Suites on Tuesday, June 8th for a Triple-A match-up between the Nashville Sounds vs. Indianapolis Indians. We'll get started at 6:30 PM with casual dinner, drinks, and conversation around making the most out of your business investments and thriving in 2021 with automation, particularly when paired with IBM Power Systems. Start planning your modernization strategy with the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform as an essential component driving toward a more efficient and optimized business. InfoSystems can show you how. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:05 PM. Our Field Suite offers the closest view of the game with space featuring a large social area in between the seats and climate-controlled suites and offers close proximity to the downstairs bar and restrooms. The Otis Nixon Foundation Former Major League Baseball player, Otis Nixon, will be joining us for the evening, as InfoSystems is a proud supporter of the The Otis Nixon Foundation. Nixon played MLB for the New York Yankees (1983), Cleveland Indians (1984–87), Montreal Expos (1988–90), Atlanta Braves (1991–93, 1999), Boston Red Sox (1994), Texas Rangers (1995), Toronto Blue Jays (1996–97), Los Angeles Dodgers (1997), Minnesota Twins (1998) and a final return to the Atlanta Braves (1999), in a career that spanned 16 years. Nixon has the most career stolen bases (620) for a player who never appeared in an MLB All-Star game since the All-Star Game began in 1933. Upon retirement, Otis found his purpose off the field by starting a faith-based ministry to serve the youth of America through motivational speaking and life coaching. He became an ordained minister and also started working with local court systems to advocate for youth who had no other support. He created The Otis Nixon Foundation in 2008 with the purpose of addressing substance abuse, bullying and promoting education. The Foundation became a founding partner of the “Color with a Cop” initiative in 2019 which connects early age youth and their parents with law enforcement to foster a better relationship through direct engagement and an interactive educational program.
