Description
A few years ago, cyberattacks were on the margins of news stories. Now, hardly a day goes by where we don't hear about a new cyber incident affecting the public or private sector. Cyberattacks are among the most urgent threats to U.S. national and economic security, and they are increasing in scale, sophistication, and frequency. So what can businesses do to stay ahead? The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is pleased to partner with the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry to present solutions for small and midsize businesses struggling with starting or improving their cybersecurity posture. On June 21, we will host a cybersecurity conference in Nashville . Speakers in government, law enforcement, and industry will explore the latest threat landscape, cyber policy, and industry-developed best practices. A distinguished lineup of national security experts will examine what leaders can do to defend critical infrastructure and deter malicious actors. Speakers include: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Scott Augenbaum, special agent, FBI; William Hudson, special agent in charge, U.S. Secret Service; and Adam Sedgewick, senior information technology policy advisor, National Institute of Standards and Technology. Throughout the program attendees will have time to connect with industry peers, government officials, and sponsors. The conference will offer valuable insight into advanced threats facing American businesses, best practices for mitigating cyber risk, and what businesses and government leaders can do when responding to significant cyber threats.
