This legislation was pieced together from draft legislation and existing laws in other states. It provides penalties for non-compliance and if passed\, even opens the door to private rights of actions (and class actions) from consumers for businesses not adhering to the law.\n\nThe legislation will be considered at hearings on Oct. 26-27th\, 2021 by a special legislative committee.
